HighOnDigital cookie policy
Version 1.3 · 29.09.2026
Version register
| Version | Date | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| 1.3 | 29.09.2026 | On the application pages we set no statistics cookie and no measurement starts, not even the anonymous one, until you answer the banner (§1, §2 and §3). Nothing changes on the Social Boost pages. |
| 1.2 | 29.09.2026 | The German text now uses the informal «du», like all our communication. No change of substance. |
| 1.1 | 28.09.2026 | Corrected: duration of hod_vid (6 months from the last visit) and of hod_hero in local storage; recognition in the CRM needs both permissions; correct name of the «Your cookie choices» link; added nx_i, which we use only on our own devices. |
| 1.0 | 28.09.2026 | First single cookie policy for all of HighOnDigital. It replaces the policy of the Social Boost pages (version 0.7 of 28.09.2026). Added: the application pages on jobs.highondigital.net and the storage that keeps your answers while you apply. Every cookie now says on which site you find it. |
The earlier versions (from 0.1 of 23.09.2026 to 0.7 of 28.09.2026) covered only the Social Boost pages; HighOnDigital keeps their text.
Controller: HighOnDigital di Peter Ishiodu & Veronica Motta, Via Canova 15, 6900 Lugano, Switzerland · info@highondigital.net.
This page completes the privacy notice, which says what we do with your data. Here we say what we store in your browser, and on which site.
Where it applies: the pages of agenzia.highondigital.net (Social Boost, in Ticino and in German-speaking Switzerland, with the confirmation pages and the reserved price pages) and of jobs.highondigital.net (our searches for collaborators).
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a site saves in your browser and reads again on later visits. Similar technologies do the same in another way: the browser's local storage (it stays until you delete it), session storage (it empties when you close the tab) and the pixel, a script that tells a third party you opened a page.
In Switzerland the rules are Art. 45c of the Telecommunications Act (inform and allow refusal) and the Data Protection Act; in the European Union Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (prior consent) and the GDPR. Today, on the Social Boost pages, if you have not yet answered the banner, the statistics and advertising tools start straight away, as if you had accepted: we inform you here and you can refuse at any time (§4). On the application pages there are only our CRM's tools, not Google's or Meta's, and they wait for your answer: before it we set no statistics cookie and no measurement starts.
Anonymous measurement, without cookies. On the Social Boost pages, even before your answer and even if you refuse, we receive some anonymous totals: that the page was opened, which site or campaign people come from (only the short campaign code), how far they scroll, which parts are seen and where they leave, where they click, time on the page in bands and whether the screen is a phone or a computer. To do this we save nothing in your browser, use no codes that recognise you and do not record your network address: our CRM receives only numbers to add up, per day and per page.
On the application pages this measurement waits for your answer. When you answer we count only which answer you gave; from the pages you open afterwards the same anonymous totals arrive, even if you refused.
2. The three categories
| Category | What it does | Does it need your yes? |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Makes the page work, remembers your cookie choice and, for applications, keeps the answers you are writing | No: always on. None of these follows your browsing |
| Statistics («counting visits») | Tells us how many people visit the pages and what they look at. On the Social Boost pages: our CRM code, Google Analytics 4, a code that recognises returning visitors and Google Ads measurement without advertising cookies. On applications: only our CRM code | After your answer, yes. Until you answer, they start straight away on the Social Boost pages; not on the application pages |
| Marketing and personalisation («recognising you») | Together with statistics, links the visit to your record in our CRM, if you have already made yourself known. On the Social Boost pages, together with statistics, it measures our ads on Facebook and Instagram (Meta pixel) and on Google (Google Ads cookies, visitor lists, encrypted email of people who book) | After your answer, yes. Until you answer, they start straight away on the Social Boost pages, except the encrypted email; not on the application pages |
The banner has three buttons of equal weight: Accept, Refuse, Customise. With «Customise» you decide category by category; no box is pre-ticked. The choice applies to the site where you make it: agenzia.highondigital.net and jobs.highondigital.net each ask on their own.
3. The full table
Key: first party = set by our domain · third party = set by another provider. The «Where» column says on which site you find it: agenzia (Social Boost pages) or jobs (applications).
Durations are maximums. They are the ones set by us or by the provider; the browser may shorten them. Safari, for example, deletes cookies created by page scripts and browser storage after 7 days of Safari use without you returning to the site, and limits them to 24 hours if you arrive from a link Safari considers to be a tracker's.
3.1 Necessary (always on)
| Name | Type | Where | Set by | What for | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
nx_c | Cookie, first party | agenzia, jobs | HighOnDigital (CRM) | Remembers your answer to the banner: categories, text version, button pressed, time and a random choice number. Saves asking you again and proves your choice | 12 months |
nx_i | Cookie, first party | agenzia, jobs | HighOnDigital (CRM) | Only on the devices of people who work at HighOnDigital: it leaves our own visits out of the counts. We do not set it in visitors' browsers | Until we remove it from our device |
hod-jobs-video | Local storage | jobs | HighOnDigital | Keeps the answers you have already given in the questionnaire, so you can leave, do the test and resume. It stays only in your browser: it reaches us only when you press «Invia» (Send) | 24 hours after the last save; also deleted when you submit |
hod_session | Session storage | agenzia | HighOnDigital | Counts the clicks of this visit and the start time, to understand the path through the page. Contains no codes that identify you | Until the tab is closed |
hod_hero | Session storage | agenzia | HighOnDigital | Remembers which version of the opening you were shown, so it does not change while you browse | Until the tab is closed |
hod_lead_sent_* | Session storage | agenzia (confirmation page) | HighOnDigital | Avoids counting the same booking twice if you reload the page. Contains only the last 8 digits of the booking code | Until the tab is closed |
3.2 Statistics (with your yes; on the Social Boost pages also straight away until you answer)
| Name | Type | Where | Set by | What for | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
nx_v | Cookie, first party | agenzia, jobs | HighOnDigital (CRM) | Random code that lets us count visits and link together the pages you see, in our CRM | Up to 180 days, fixed expiry that does not renew at every visit |
nx_f | Cookie, first party | agenzia, jobs | HighOnDigital (CRM) | Remembers the day nx_v expires, so the duration really stays 180 days. Created only with your yes | As nx_v |
hod_vid | Cookie and local storage, first party | agenzia | HighOnDigital | Random code that recognises whether you come back; passed to Google Analytics as identifier. Never linked to name or email | The cookie 6 months from the last visit; the local-storage copy until you delete it or withdraw consent |
hod_visits | Local storage | agenzia | HighOnDigital | Number of visits, date of the first and the last | As long as hod_vid exists; deleted if you withdraw consent |
hod_landings | Local storage | agenzia | HighOnDigital | Which of our pages you have already seen (the last 20 at most) | As above |
hod_first_touch, hod_last_touch | Local storage | agenzia | HighOnDigital | Which campaign, channel and site you came from the first and the last time | As above |
hod_hero | Local storage | agenzia | HighOnDigital | Version of the opening seen, remembered between visits | Until you delete it or withdraw consent |
_ga | Cookie, first party, set by Google's script | agenzia | Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) | Distinguishes users | 2 years |
_ga_5S1YKTC1NF | Cookie, first party, set by Google's script | agenzia | Google Analytics 4 | Keeps the visit state for our Google Analytics property | 2 years |
What Google Analytics receives (after your yes, or straight away until you answer): pages viewed, sections reached, scrolling, videos, clicks on questions and buttons, time on the page, version of the opening, campaign tags, source and the hod_vid code. On the confirmation page, the «booking made» event with day of the week, time and campaign tags, never name or booking code. Google Analytics is linked to our Google Ads account: visits are also used for visitor lists. If you refuse, the page sets Google's consent to «denied» and no longer loads its tools.
3.3 Marketing and personalisation (with your yes; on the Social Boost pages also straight away until you answer)
| Name | Type | Where | Set by | What for | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
nx_e | Session storage | agenzia, jobs | HighOnDigital (CRM) | If you arrive from a link in one of our emails that recognises you, it keeps that recognition for the visit, so the visit is linked to your record in the CRM. The «Statistics» permission is also needed | Until the tab is closed |
nx_m_* | Session storage | agenzia, jobs | HighOnDigital (CRM) | Remembers which personalised CRM messages you have already been shown, so they are not repeated | Until the tab is closed |
_gcl_au, _gcl_aw | Cookies, first party, set by Google's script | agenzia | Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) | Link the booking to the Google ad you came from (_gcl_aw is created only if you come from an ad). «Refuse» does not delete them, but our pages no longer send them to Google | 90 days |
_gcl_ls | Local storage, written by Google's script | agenzia | Google Ads | Keeps the Google ad click identifier, like _gcl_aw | No expiry of its own: stays until you delete it in the browser |
_fbp | Cookie, first party, set by Meta's script | agenzia | Meta pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd / Meta Platforms, Inc.) | Browser identifier to measure ads and build our campaigns' audience | 90 days |
_fbc | Cookie, first party, set by Meta's script | agenzia | Meta pixel | Keeps the click identifier of a Facebook or Instagram ad, to attribute the booking to that ad | 90 days |
lastExternalReferrer, lastExternalReferrerTime | Local storage, written by Meta's script | agenzia | Meta pixel | Remember the external site you last came from, and when | No expiry of their own: they stay until you delete them in the browser |
The Meta pixel, after your answer, starts only if you accepted both «Statistics» and «Marketing and personalisation»; until you answer, it starts straight away. Meta receives the events «visit», «click on the booking button» and «booking made», with the page name and the version of the opening: never name, email or booking code. Our server also sends the same event to Meta (Conversions API), with your network address and your type of browser and device. When their script is loaded, Meta and Google may also use their own cookies on their domains: they describe them at www.facebook.com/policies/cookies and policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
3.4 What is not there
- No Calendly cookies on our pages: booking happens through a link that takes you to Calendly's site, not through an embedded window. Calendly's cookies apply on its site and are described in its notice (calendly.com/legal/privacy-notice).
- No cookies from Vercel, the provider that hosts the pages.
- No Google or Meta tools on the application pages.
- No cookie for uploading CV and video: files go straight to our CRM's private area.
- No browser fingerprinting.
4. How to refuse or change your mind
- From the banner, at your first visit: «Refuse» or «Customise». If you refuse when the tools have already started, they stop from that moment and for later visits.
- At any time, from the «Your cookie choices» link at the bottom of every page, which reopens the banner. Withdrawal, like refusal, deletes
nx_v,nx_f,hod_vidand the linked storage,_ga,_ga_*,_fbpand_fbc, and from then on the pages no longer load Google and Meta tools and send nothing more to our CRM, except the anonymous measurement in §1._gcl_au,_gcl_aw,_gcl_ls,lastExternalReferrerandlastExternalReferrerTimeremain in the browser, which you can delete there (point 3), andnx_c, which remembers that you said no. Google's tool already loaded on that page may send one last signal, without cookies and marked as a refusal, when you leave. - From the browser, in addition to and never instead of point 2: you can delete or block cookies in the settings of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge («Privacy» or «Cookies and site data»). Blocking all cookies may stop the page from remembering your choice.
- For Google and Meta there are also their own tools: the add-on to disable Google Analytics (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) and Meta's ad preferences (www.facebook.com/adpreferences).
5. Where the data collected with these tools goes
- The
nx_vcode, visits and the register of choices go to HighOnDigital's CRM, with its database in Switzerland (Zurich). - Data from Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta pixel, including the events our server sends to Meta, go to Google and Meta, based in Ireland and the United States: the transfer relies on the two providers' certification under the Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S.). Details in the privacy notice, §7.
6. Changes
When we add a cookie or a tool, we write it here and raise the version. The register at the top of this page says what changed and when.
